Holistic Senior Accountant

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Holistic Senior Accountant to join our growing team at Rāja Accounting Inc. Reporting to the CEO, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations and ensuring accuracy and compliance for our diverse clientele. 

This position involves preparation and completion of corporate year ends, income tax returns, and managing the Holistic Junior Accountant as needed.

What You Will Do:

• Preparation and completion of corporate year-end financial statements for clients.

• Preparation and filing of income tax returns for corporate and individual clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

• Provide guidance and support to the Holistic Junior Accountant, including training, task delegation, and performance feedback.

• Review financial statements, tax returns, and other documentation prepared by the Holistic Junior Accountant for accuracy and completeness.

• Maintain strong professional relationships while providing exceptional client experience.

• Analyze financial data and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with the CEO and other team members to develop and implement best practices for accounting processes and procedures.

• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and provide proactive guidance to clients.

• Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed, such as financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Maintain confidentiality and security of client information at all times.

• Interested in a non-transaction Holistic Approach, beyond numbers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Completion of or working towards a CPA designation.

• Minimum of 2 years experience working in an Accounting Firm.

• Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting systems and technology trends.

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively and professionally under pressure or in stressful situations.

• Experience working with a Junior Accountant.

• · Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively and professionally under pressure or in stressful situations.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
